At Natures Playground ELC, we embrace the belief that learning is as unique and diverse as the natural world itself. Play is at the heart of our educational philosophy, recognizing that children learn best when they are interested, engaged, and curious. Our approach not only prioritizes academic and developmental outcomes but also focuses on the whole child, supporting their social and emotional development as they build confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of identity.

 

We aim to foster a deep love for learning by centering our practices around each individual child, ensuring their unique needs are met.

 

Collaboration with families is key to creating a supportive and familiar environment where children feel a strong sense of belonging. By nurturing these relationships, we provide a solid foundation for each child to embark on their learning journey, confident in their place within our community.

 

Our educators are committed to their own learning journey, reflecting on their role within our foundation as they guide and support the children and families they serve. Guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), the Victorian Early Years Learning & Development Framework (VEYLDF), and informed by the National Quality Standards (NQS) and National Quality Framework (NQF), we create emergent programs that are responsive to the interests of the children, family input, community, cultural events, and intentional teaching moments. By weaving these elements together, we ensure that every child’s experience at Natures Playground ELC is deeply connected to the world around them, fostering a lifelong love of learning and a strong foundation for the future.
